In an effort to assist and enhance career and job search efforts of students and alumni, A&S Career Services offers a variety of job search resources. We have developed a Career Success Guide for first-year and transfer students, offer a job search course for upperclassmen and have created many handouts for students to use as they prepare to apply for internships and jobs. The Career Success Guide is a resource developed by A&S Career Services to assist in the development of life-long career planning techniques. Distributed to first-year and transfer students this guide introduces the basic principles of career planning and provides a framework to build a successful career. A&S 4111 – Job Search Strategies
This course includes activities, discussions, and experiences related to processing individual career goals, marketing liberal arts skills, developing and implementing an individual career plan, conducting job market research, and developing employment search tools such as resume, cover letter, interview skills, networking, etc. To enroll contact your academic advisor.

On this website you will find job listings in the HIRE System and College Central Network under Find a Job on the left side menu. Students also have access to the Career Fairs and Events calendar, Premium Services and specialty services includingGovernment and Global Career Services as well as Networking Resources adn Supplies. 


Career Resource Center
At the Career Resource Center, located in 308 Student Union,  students can take assessments such as the Strong Interest Inventory ($16 on-line) or the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ($10 paper version; $16 on-line) which aid in self-discovery. Both tests take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Also available are computer based systems including: Discover, Sigi3 and OKCIS which offer assessments as well as career, major, education and labor market information.
